Jazz Band One New Change

Silk Street Jazz had a very busy time last weekend. Saturday morning, we were performing on an opened top bus as part of the Lord Mayor’s Show from 11am (Thankfully the weather held out!). We then rushed over to One New Change for a 2pm start so we could entertain Christmas shoppers as the Lord Mayor’s Show wound down. There were lots of videos taken and plenty of photos. The jazz band particularly enjoyed the ad-lib dancing from the energetic American lady, who managed to dance for a whole hour without a break!

Jazz Band record for Film Music

Today we were honoured to record at Abbey Road, the world’s most famous recording studios. The session took place in studio 3 this morning as we recorded ‘I’m Sitting On Top of The World’ for a forthcoming French film, due to be released this later this year (more details to follow…).

We recently performed our lively, foot tapping jazz music at Sarah and Andy’s wedding on the 18th June 2011 at Taplin’s Place in Hartley Wintney. Sarah and Andy were kind enough to write such a lovely thank you note afterwards!
