Jazz Band meet Sir Ian Botham
On Monday 19th April 2010, The Silk Street jazz band performed at the finish line of Beefy’s Great Forget-Me-Not Walk in aid of childhood leukaemia.
After ten days walking around ten towns in the UK, Ian finally arrived at around 14:45 to a big cheer and musical welcome outside Marks and Spencers, Marble Arch. He was very complimentary of the music and many passers by stopped to watch and listen too.
