It’s almost Christmas, so it’s time to recap on a wonderful year. We’ve been entertaining at vintage weddings and events around the country. We’ve got lots of exciting plans for 2015. As the year draws to a close, let’s see what’s happened in the last twelve months.
New Acts Launched in 2014
The Jazz Spivs
May saw the launch of a brand new website and band from the Silk Street team: The Jazz Spivs. They dived headfirst into providing first class entertainment for prohibition parties, Gatsby themed events and vintage weddings with their authentic 1920s music. The Silk Street Flappers
Hot on the tail of The Jazz Spivs came the Silk Street Flappers. Our 1920s dancing girls are available to book alongside the band. They entertain and encourage guests to get on their feet, dancing the Charleston and the Foxtrot all night long!
Highlights from Our 2014 Events
Silk Street Jazz Events
This year we played for many vintage weddings, parties, funerals, life celebrations and corporate events.
One evening we will never forget is playing at the Labour Party Conference, on the set of Coronation Street! This was a great gig – we got toes tapping to our New Orleans Dixie Jazz against the backdrop of the legendary Rovers Return.
