The world-famous whisky brand are making big moves in Britain this summer – and they’ve decided to bring us along for the ride! Wherever you see the #SouthernWelcome party in full flow this sunny season, you can bet your bottom dollar that Silk Street Jazz won’t be far behind.
Known as The Big Easy for its smooth, easy-going way of life (fuelled by beautiful jazz melodies and delicious liquors), New Orleans is a place with strong ties to both Silk Street Jazz and Southern Comfort. Together, we’re showing the British people what New Orleans is about: superb music and a mighty fine drink to sip on whilst you swoon.
All aboard the Canpaign bus
We’ve teamed up with Southern Comfort for their “Canpaign” tour – a New Orleans-style roadshow that hops around the UK with a branded bus. Silk Street Jazz are near-permanent passengers on the vehicle, belting out a wide array of famous jazz tunes whilst the Southern Comfort team serve up delicious samples of their brand new drink: Lemonade and Lime Ready-To-Drink (RTD).
The Canpaign offers welcome relief from the doom and gloom news of recent times, allowing people all over the country to enjoy the summer in true New Orleans style.
#SouthernWelcome has journeyed far and wide since the Canpaign bus chugged into life for the first time back in early June. Venues around London (including Spitalfields Market and Westfields Shepherds Bush) were treated to a divine slice of New Orleans culture, whilst our dream team also served up a brilliant blend of whisky and jazz at the Trafford Centre in Manchester and Birmingham Foodies Festival.
Silk Street Jazz aren’t the only ones helping to infuse Britain with Big Easy vibes either. Creative agency We Are Kemosabe have also thrown support behind Southern Comfort in recent months, as they also aim to pay testament to their New Orleans roots with brand promotion.
Giving brands a musical boost
Silk Street Jazz have had an incredible time on the Canpaign tour so far, but this isn’t our first rodeo. Volkswagen, Tobasco Sauce, McVities, More Than, Barclaycard, Chanel, P&O Ferries, BMA, and Cancer Research UK have all previously decided to hire a jazz band for brand promotion – and Silk Street Jazz confidently stepped in to help.
