A warm welcome from all of us at the Silk Street Jazz Band.
Everyone involved with the Silk Street jazz band is passionate about making your event a success by delivering a musical experience that is full of flair, excitement and enthusiasm.
Silk Street Jazz formed back in 2003 as a new generation of early jazz band. We offer a fresh alternative to other forms of jazz entertainment. All of our band members are full time London professionals and some of the leading musicians in their field. We have recorded extensively for TV and Film, including programmes and commercials for the BBC and Channel 4, recording at both Abbey Road & Pinewood Studios. Appearances on ‘The F Word’, CBeebies ‘Zingzillas’ and the recent ‘Big Brother’ advert have helped to raise the profile of the group. The band has performed for Her Majesty The Queen, Robert Smith (The Cure), Gordon Ramsay, Ray Winstone, Sir Ian Botham, Paul O’Grady & Cilla Black.
The band performs at hundreds of events each and every year, including weddings, private parties, funerals charity and corporate events. Building on a fast-growing, prestigious reputation for being one of the most reliable jazz bands in the country, we pride ourselves on an friendly, personal service and offer a simple, guaranteed booking service. Instrumentation
The Silk Street bands are available from a small duo up to the full 7-piece band. It is very important to us that we both decide on the right ensemble for your event. Some line ups are more suited to the champagne wedding reception or small party, whilst others are more suitable for dancing or outside events, you can compare all the bands here.

Attire
The band are available to perform in their traditional waistcoats and boaters. However, we understand that different attires are more suited to different events so, if you are looking at creating a different impression, the band have several other outfits available which include:
- Striped Blazers
- Dinner Jackets (Black or White Tie)
- Modern Lounge Suits
- Chic All Black
- Casual
Perhaps you wanted us to wear your corporate colours or fit in with the design of your party theme? If you had something else in mind, please let us know at the time of enquiry and we’ll do our best to meet your needs.
