Jazz Band help to save Sands End Community Centre, Fulham

Today the Silk Street jazz band supported the local community centre in Fulham by leading the procession of school children from Langford Primary, fellow parents and friends in a fight to help save Sands End Community Centre in Fulham.

We were pleased to be invited by co-ordinator Nick Bardoni and fellow campaigners to entertain the crowds with our upbeat jazz, helping to keep spirits up as the centre faces possible closure due to the authority’s cost cutting measures. A 6000 signature petition was presented to Tory MP, Greg Hands before he gave his speech.

Everyone at Sands End has the jazz band’s full support in helping to keep the centre open. It is the core of the community and must remain that way. To read more including  and see the photos of the jazz band performing in action visit the Fulham Chronicle.

Silk Street can help so if you would like to hire a jazz band for your procession, charity or fund-rasing event, get in touch.
